  1. How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to confirm your booking, process payment, and administer your trip; to arrange accommodation, local guides, itinerary coordination, and any special requirements; to share relevant travel document data, dietary needs, and booking details with our authorised third-party travel operators, local guides, hotels, coaches, and entrance fee providers as necessary to deliver your trip; to share passport and travel document data with immigration authorities, border control, and airlines as required by law or trip logistics; to send you confirmation emails, pre-departure information, logistics updates, and post-trip follow-up; to promote upcoming and future Blessed Voyage travel destinations and programmes to you by email, through cookies, and through other digital channels where you have provided consent or where legitimate interests apply; to promote other AlMaghrib Institute products, programmes, and events for marketing purposes where you have provided consent or where legitimate interests apply; to comply with applicable laws, respond to legal process, protect the safety of travellers, and enforce our Terms; and to carry out anonymous, aggregated data analysis to improve trip quality and website performance. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time by contacting blessedvoyage@almaghrib.org or by using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.

  1. Who We Share Your Information With

Where your trip is operated by a third-party travel operator — which may include DST World Travel or any other authorised operator engaged by Blessed Voyage to deliver a specific trip, such as Umrah programmes or other partnered tours — we share your registration data, travel document information, dietary requirements, and booking details with that operator as necessary to arrange and deliver your trip. The identity of the third-party operator for each trip will be communicated at the time of registration. Each operator processes data under their own privacy policy in addition to this one. For trips operated directly by Blessed Voyage, such as Bosnia and Japan, your name, dietary requirements, and relevant booking details are shared with local guides, hotels, and transport providers in the destination country. Passport, visa, and travel document information may also be shared with immigration authorities, border agencies, or airlines as required by law or to facilitate international travel. We use trusted third-party technology providers for website hosting, email delivery, payment processing, and registration management, and these providers process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations. Blessed Voyage does not sell, rent, or trade personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

  1. Travel-Specific Data

International travel requires collection and sharing of travel document data (passport numbers, nationalities, dates of birth) with airlines, hotels, government immigration systems, and tour operators in the destination country. This data is processed as necessary to fulfil your travel contract and to comply with legal obligations in the destination country. This data may be transferred to countries outside your home country, including countries that may not have equivalent data protection standards. By registering for an international trip you consent to this processing and transfer.

Health and dietary data you provide is treated as sensitive personal information. It is shared only with service providers who need it to accommodate your requirements and is not used for any other purpose.

  1. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy. Booking and payment records are kept for seven years from the trip date for accounting and legal compliance purposes. Travel document data is deleted within twelve months of the trip end date unless a longer retention period is required by law. Health and dietary data is deleted within six months of the trip end date. Marketing preferences are retained until you withdraw your consent or request deletion. Website logs and analytics data are retained for up to twenty-six months, while functional session cookies are cleared at the end of each browsing session.

  1. How We Protect Your Information

Blessed Voyage employs administrative, technical, and electronic security measures designed to protect your personal information against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure, or unauthorised access. These measures include secure data storage, encrypted transmission of sensitive data, and restricted access to personal information by authorised personnel only. Please be aware that no security measures are completely impenetrable. We cannot guarantee that your personal information will never be subject to a breach, and you provide your personal information at your own risk. In the event of a security breach that is likely to affect your rights or freedoms, we will notify you and any applicable regulatory authority as required under the laws of the relevant jurisdiction, in the most expedient timeframe reasonably possible. We take ongoing measures to delete, anonymise, or restrict access to personal information when it is no longer required for the purposes described in this policy, subject to any legal retention obligations.

For travellers from the Middle East, Asia, and all other regions: we process your personal information in accordance with this policy and in a manner consistent with internationally recognised privacy standards. Where your home country has specific data protection legislation, we will endeavour to comply with those requirements to the extent reasonably practicable. Please contact us at blessedvoyage@almaghrib.org if you have any questions about how your data is handled.

Trip-related data will also be transferred to the destination country — for example, to hotels, local guides, and transport providers in Bosnia, Japan, Spain, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, or any other destination — as necessary to arrange and deliver your trip. By booking a trip you acknowledge and accept this transfer as necessary to perform your travel contract.
