How should I purchase my airline tickets for the trip to Colombia?
You are responsible for purchasing your airline tickets separately, ensuring your arrival in Bogotá on the first day of the itinerary and departure from Cartagena at the end.
If you need assistance with booking your flight, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
The recommended airlines are Delta or Avianca.
To take advantage of the group transfers included in the package, please align your arrival and departure times with the group’s schedule.

Any other timings for transfers to and from the hotel will incur an additional charge of $40 per car each way, with each car accommodating up to 4 people, depending on luggage.
Do I need a visa, before departure, to enter Colombia?
For U.S., Canadian, Australian, and European citizens, a visa is not required to enter Colombia for stays up to 90 days. However, it’s recommended to check the latest entry requirements and ensure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your planned departure date.
When will you provide more details about hotels?
Hotels are confirmed per the itinerary provided.
When does the “early bird” discount end?
The “early bird” discount details are typically shared during the initial promotion of the trip. If available, the deadline for the discount will be communicated clearly. It’s best to book early to take advantage of any such offers.
What if I change my mind after I’ve paid?
For airline cancellations, please check directly with the airline for their specific policies.
Land package cancellation policy:
- Fully refundable up to 60 days prior to departure.
- $500 penalty for cancellations made between 60 to 30 days before departure.
- Non-refundable within 30 days of arrival.
Are there any special discounts available to students of AlMaghrib Institute?
Unfortunately, there are no additional discounts. We have tried to provide the best balance in terms of price, logistics and comfort for all travelers. Of course, you should expect no less than an excellent program from AlMaghrib Institute.
What will be the role of the AlMaghrib Institute instructors and involvement with the group?
AlMaghrib Institute instructors will provide spiritual guidance and insights throughout the trip. They will lead discussions, deliver lectures, and be available for personal interactions, making the journey both educational and spiritually enriching.
Can I add on other places to visit before or after Colombia?
Yes, you can extend your trip to visit other places before or after the scheduled program in Colombia. However, these extensions would need to be arranged independently. The group package covers only the specific dates and locations outlined in the itinerary.
If you wish to extend your stay before or after the group’s arrival dates, please let us know, and we’d be happy to provide you with rates. Please note that individual arrival and departure pick-up rates will apply.
Are children allowed to go to Colombia?
Yes, children are allowed to join the trip.
